We are excited to announce the release of Proxmox KVM WHMCS Module v3.0.
This is the biggest update since the initial release. Version 3.0 is a complete rewrite with a new architecture, a dedicated addon module, and major improvements across deployment, package changes, firewall management, automation, and both the client and admin areas.
What’s New in v3.0
- New Dedicated Addon Module
Version 3.0 no longer requires PUQ Customization. It now includes its own addon module with dashboard, IP pool management, DNS zones, VM management, settings, and access control. - Deploy State Machine
The deployment flow was fully rebuilt as a step-by-step state machine with detailed logging and automatic continuation on the next cron run after failures. - Post-Clone VM Migration
Virtual machines can now be cloned on the template node and then migrated automatically to a suitable target node based on storage and available RAM. - Change Package State Machine
Upgrade and downgrade operations were also redesigned as a state machine, with separate steps, better logging, and smarter processing of only required changes. - Firewall Management
Version 3.0 adds full firewall management in deployment settings, product settings, and a dedicated firewall page in the client area. - Flexible Cron System
The cron system now supports both WHMCS Hook mode and Standalone mode, with configurable task intervals and improved lock handling. - Client Area Redesign
The client area was redesigned with AJAX loading, card-based pages, session caching, faster polling, and broader language support. - Admin Area Improvements
The admin area now includes improved product settings, real-time VM details, deploy logs, change package logs, quick actions, and metric billing support. - Security & Stability Improvements
This release also improves validation, session handling, routing checks, and safer logging for better production stability.
Why This Update Matters
With v3.0, the Proxmox KVM WHMCS Module becomes a more powerful and independent solution for automated VM provisioning in WHMCS. It improves reliability, simplifies management, and delivers a better experience for both administrators and clients.
The release is documented as compatible with WHMCS 8.x/9.x, PHP 7.4/8.1/8.2, Proxmox VE 8.x/9.x, and ionCube Loader v13/v14/v15.
