Proxmox KVM WHMCS Module v3.3 Released — Full Configurable Options Support

Friday, May 15, 2026

We are excited to announce the release of Proxmox KVM WHMCS Module v3.3, bringing a major upgrade to configurable options handling and VPS resource management.

This update significantly improves the flexibility of VPS provisioning in WHMCS by introducing full support for native configurable options across a wide range of virtual machine resources and services.

What’s New in v3.3

Version 3.3 introduces a redesigned configurable options architecture that allows providers to manage VPS customization directly through standard WHMCS configurable options.

The module now supports configurable options for:

  • CPU cores
  • RAM
  • Primary disk
  • Additional disk
  • IPv4 / IPv6
  • Network speed
  • Bandwidth
  • Backups
  • Snapshots
  • Operating system templates
  • And more

The update includes 18 standardized configurable options with cleaner naming and improved compatibility with WHMCS billing and upgrade workflows.

Improved Disk Safety

One of the most important additions in this release is the new multi-layer disk protection system.

Disk downgrade operations are now protected by several validation layers designed to prevent unsafe resize operations and reduce the risk of filesystem corruption or accidental data loss.

The module also introduces improved handling for additional disks, including automatic cleanup when an additional disk option is reduced to zero.

Better Upgrade & Billing Experience

With v3.3, upgrade and downgrade workflows are now more predictable and aligned with native WHMCS behavior.

Providers can build more flexible VPS plans while maintaining safer automation and cleaner billing integration.

Default fallback values for configurable options were also added, helping prevent deployment issues caused by missing option selections.

Continuing the Transition Toward Modern VPS Automation

Starting from version 3.x, the module has evolved into a more advanced orchestration platform with:

  • Cron-driven background operations
  • Lifecycle state management
  • DNS automation
  • Firewall management
  • VM deployment logging
  • Centralized addon module architecture

Version 3.3 continues this direction by making VPS resource customization more scalable, safer, and easier to integrate into production WHMCS environments.
